The operation of this thermometer and barometric ball seems complex at first glance, yet make no mistake, there is nothing more obvious !
The outside temperature regulates the bottles inside the glass tube and the atmospheric pressure will cause the liquid in the ball to rise so already a tip don't bring the bottle too close to a heat source otherwise it might distort the real temperature.
The bottles are made of liquid special which fluctuates depending on the outside air, the higher the temperature, the more bottles indicating a lower temperature will sink. And the bottles above that temperature will rise, the bottle indicating an exact temperature, will go to the middle of the bottle.
The operation of the barometric ball is even simpler, in the first step, you will just have to fill the sphere with water mixed with pigments to get that bluish color. Then in a second step, you will just have to observe the liquid mounted by the glass tube to predict the atmospheric pressure, if, it starts to rain.
