ARTICLE 1 - Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply, without restriction or reservation, to all sales concluded by Altamos Ltd ("the Vendor") with consumers and non-professional buyers ("the Customers or the Client") wishing to acquire the products offered for sale by the Vendor ("the Products") on the science-decor.com website.

These Terms specify the conditions of order, payment, delivery, and management of possible returns of Products ordered by Customers.

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale may be supplemented by special terms and conditions stated on the website before any transaction with the Customer.

They are accessible at any time on science-decor.com and will prevail over any other contradictory document. These Terms may be subject to subsequent modifications; the version applicable to the Customer's purchase is the one in force on the website at the date of placing the order.

ARTICLE 2 - Products Offered for Sale

The Products offered for sale on science-decor.com include the following categories:

  • Decoration
  • Wall Decoration
  • Lighting
  • Art of the Table
  • Bedding
  • Children's Space
  • Ambiances
  • Gift Ideas

The main characteristics of the Products, including specifications, illustrations, and dimensions, are presented on science-decor.com. The Customer is required to read them before placing an order. The choice and purchase of a Product is the sole responsibility of the Customer.

Photographs and graphics presented on science-decor.com are for illustrative purposes only and do not form part of the contract. The Customer is required to refer to the description of each Product to know its properties and essential characteristics. All contractual information is presented in English.

ARTICLE 3 - Availability of Products

Product offers are valid within the limits of available stock, as specified at the time the order is placed.

In accordance with applicable data protection law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where applicable, the Customer has, at any time, a right of access, rectification, opposition, deletion, and portability of all personal data by contacting the Vendor in writing at the address above.

Validation of the order by the Customer implies full and unreserved acceptance of these General Terms of Sale. The Customer acknowledges having the legal capacity to contract and acquire the Products offered on science-decor.com.

ARTICLE 5 - Orders

5.1 Placing an Order

The Customer selects the Products they wish to order on science-decor.com. The Customer may review the details of their order, its total price, and correct any errors before confirming acceptance. It is the Customer's responsibility to verify the accuracy of the order before submission.

An order is registered when the Customer accepts these General Terms and Conditions by checking the box provided and validates their order. The sale is final only after the Vendor sends the Customer an order confirmation by email and after full payment has been collected.

Any order placed and confirmed under the conditions described above constitutes a binding distance-selling contract between the Customer and the Vendor. The data recorded in the Vendor's system constitutes proof of all transactions with the Customer.

The Vendor reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order from a Customer with whom there is a dispute regarding payment of a previous order. The Vendor sells exclusively to consumers for personal use and reserves the right to refuse orders of more than 10 units of the same Product.

5.2 Modifying an Order

Any order modification must be notified by email to atom@science-decor.com at least 2 business days before the scheduled shipment date. If the modification cannot be accommodated, any sums already paid will be refunded within 15 days of notification.

5.3 Cancelling an Order

Orders may be cancelled at no cost to the Customer at least 2 business days before the scheduled shipment date. Cancellations made less than 3 days before scheduled shipment, for reasons other than the exercise of the right of return or force majeure, may result in forfeiture of any deposit paid.

ARTICLE 6 - Prices

Products are supplied at the prices shown on science-decor.com at the time the order is registered. Prices are expressed in US Dollars (USD) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes.

Prices are firm and non-revisable during their period of validity as indicated on the website. The Vendor reserves the right to modify prices outside of this period. Prices include processing and handling fees. Shipping costs are displayed separately at checkout.

The total amount due from the Customer includes the purchase price plus any applicable shipping fees as shown at the time of order confirmation.

ARTICLE 7 - Payment Terms

Payment is due in full at the time the order is placed. The following payment methods are accepted:

  • Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro
  • PayPal
  • Digital wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay

All transactions are processed through a secure payment system. Payment by credit card is irrevocable except in the case of fraudulent use, in which case the Customer may request a chargeback through their card issuer in accordance with applicable US federal and state law, including rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act (15 U.S.C. § 1601 et seq.).

ARTICLE 8 - Delivery

Products ordered will be delivered within the United States and internationally within 8 to 18 business days from the date of shipment, to the address indicated by the Customer at the time of ordering.

Delivery is constituted by the transfer of physical possession or control of the Product to the Customer. Unless otherwise specified, Products will be delivered in a single shipment.

The Vendor will make its best efforts to deliver within the indicated timeframes; however, these are estimates only. If Products are not delivered within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, for reasons other than force majeure or Customer fault, the Customer may cancel the order in writing. Any sums paid will be refunded within 14 days of cancellation, with no additional compensation.

In the event of non-conformity of the delivered Product, the Vendor undertakes to remedy the situation or reimburse the Customer as set out in Article 11. The Vendor assumes all transport risks and is liable for damage caused during transit.

Deliveries are made by an independent carrier to the address provided by the Customer at the time of ordering.

ARTICLE 9 - Transfer of Ownership — Transfer of Risk

Ownership of Products transfers to the Customer only upon full payment of the purchase price, regardless of the delivery date.

The risk of loss or damage to Products transfers to the Customer upon physical delivery. Products are transported at the Vendor's risk until delivered.

ARTICLE 10 - Returns & Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with consumer protection standards applicable in the United States, the Customer has 30 days from the date of receipt of the Product to return it for a refund or exchange, without needing to provide a reason, provided that:

  • The Product is returned in its original packaging and in perfect, unused condition
  • All accessories, instructions, and original invoice are included
  • The return request is submitted within the 30-day period by email to atom@science-decor.com

Damaged, soiled, or incomplete Products will not be accepted for return.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer unless the Product is defective or non-conforming, in which case return costs will be reimbursed by the Vendor upon presentation of receipts.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt and inspection of the returned Product, and will be credited to the original payment method.

ARTICLE 11 - Vendor's Liability — Warranty

Products sold on science-decor.com are intended for personal, non-professional use. The Vendor provides the following warranties:

  • Conformity Warranty: Products that are defective, damaged, or do not match the order description at the time of delivery are covered. The Customer has 2 years from the date of delivery to raise a conformity claim and may request repair, replacement, or refund.
  • Hidden Defects Warranty: Products affected by a hidden defect making them unfit for their intended use are covered. The Customer has 2 years from discovery of the defect to act.

The Vendor will repair, replace, or refund non-conforming or defective Products. Shipping costs will be reimbursed at the invoiced rate. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of confirmation of non-conformity, credited to the Customer's original payment method.

The Vendor's liability shall not be engaged in the following cases:

  • Misuse, use for professional purposes, negligence, or lack of maintenance by the Customer
  • Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or force majeure
  • Non-compliance with the laws of the country where the Products are delivered, which is the Customer's responsibility to verify

THE VENDOR'S WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REIMBURSEMENT OF NON-CONFORMING OR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE VENDOR DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

ARTICLE 12 - Personal Data Protection

Personal data collected from Customers is necessary for order processing, invoicing, and delivery. This data may be shared with third-party partners responsible for order fulfilment, processing, and payment.

Altamos Ltd processes personal data in compliance with applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR, and, where applicable, US state privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Customers have the right to access, rectify, delete, oppose, and obtain portability of their personal data. California residents additionally have the right to opt out of the sale of personal data — Altamos Ltd does not sell personal data.

ARTICLE 13 - Intellectual Property

All content on science-decor.com, including text, images, graphics, logos, and videos, is the property of Altamos Ltd or its partners and is protected under United States copyright law (17 U.S.C. § 101 et seq.) and international intellectual property treaties.

Any total or partial reproduction, distribution, or use of this content without the prior written consent of Altamos Ltd is strictly prohibited and may constitute copyright infringement subject to civil and criminal penalties.

ARTICLE 14 - Force Majeure

Neither Party shall be held liable for non-performance or delay in performance of their obligations resulting from an event of force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government actions, pandemics, or other events beyond the reasonable control of the affected Party. The affected Party shall notify the other Party as soon as possible and use reasonable efforts to resume performance.

ARTICLE 15 - Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These General Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

In the event of a dispute, the Parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in English.

CLASS ACTION WAIVER: The Customer agrees that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis only, and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Nothing in this Article prevents the Customer from filing a complaint with applicable consumer protection authorities, including the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or relevant state attorney general offices.

ARTICLE 16 - Entire Agreement & Customer Acceptance

These General Terms of Sale constitute the entire agreement between the Vendor and the Customer with respect to the purchase of Products on science-decor.com and supersede all prior agreements or representations.

By placing an order on science-decor.com, the Customer confirms they have read, understood, and accepted these General Terms of Sale in their entirety, and acknowledges the obligation to pay for Products ordered.

APPENDIX — Return / Withdrawal Form
